http://bit.ly/rickcalvert ► Rick Calvert, Founder of BlogWorld talks with ReelSEO about social media, online video, search, and how it all ties together in this new media era. He also talks about the future of new media and tells us that in the end, online video will be the "top of the food chain for new media." Obviously, we agree.

"We have to think about where we are at in the evolution of new media. We are at the very beginning, embryonic state of where new media is going to go... This is the beginning. If you look at traditional media, Video is at the top of the food chain. So, eventually, video will be the top of the chain for new media. The only reason it isn't yet, is because video is the hardest media to master. As video gets easier, as technology makes it easier.... more and more people will start doing it and progressing down that level of expertise and start seeing more and more quality video..."

  • Wow, I did not know I was part of "new media" I guess I am since I am commenting on a video that is on a social network (youtube) and the search engines might pick it up. He is saying that Traditional Media is giving us a pass?? What does that mean... how can they shut us down? Unless of course they shut down the places where we spread our stuff like "the internet". I guess that could happen. Time will tell, eh?
