This lil' stinker has sprayed my dog on no less than 4 separate occasions.

Anyone know of an effective, non-lethal way to repel skunks?

  • A. It's your dog's fault it happened. Put him inside where he won't make that mistake again.

    B. The skunk seemed angry in the video. It could have sprayed you.

  • A. For the record, I don't leave my dog outside all day and night. He spends the majority of his time in the house.

    B. ya think?

  • @SaladFingersCindy Not if it has sprayed you or one of your loved ones.

  • @CabbageInJello In response to B, a .22 would quickly end that.

  • That thing sprayed your dog four times? If that were my dog, I'd have busted a couple of caps into that skunk's heart and head after it sprayed the first time.

  • Dude!!! wow look at 0:26 you would've stunk if it wanted to spray, it totally could've

  • Im sure its too late now but skunks HATE even remotely loud noise/music etc. Even a little crappy radio playing outside could be a deterrent

  • I think even if it got shot with a bb and lived to spray about it it'd come back to spray about it.

  • > i know an effective repellant. a bb gun or

    > real gun should do the trick. one round with

The problem is the dog is retarded and is to stupid to leave the skunk alone.

They are PRETTY damned obvious about being agitated. As kids, EVERY ONE of our dogs got sprayed by skunks, ONCE, and NEVER AGAIN.

BTW - I bet it's not just one skunk. It takes a skunk about a month to reload and they only spray as a last resort.

  • A 22 is the best method i've found.
