Metal Detecting UK (64) - More Old Silver from the Old Hall

Had another great day on the final tidy up at the Old Hall. Just as daylight finally died I managed to find the 500th coin from the field. A very stained coin turned out to be a bright shiny 1696 William III shilling when cleaned up. I feel the bank has run dry now for the Viking V6 so I will be moving in the big guns when I take delivery of a brand new XP Deus on Monday. Then we will find out how good they really are ... working on ground that has been hoovered clean to 6" deep ... watch this space.

Guess what? Detector arrived at 9.12AM. I open the door and it is RAINING meows and wuffs... awe ... I like it already and haven't been out of the house yet. It has lots of extras that are not promoted but I luv 'em. I have made one huge mistake so far, I refered to the new lovw in my life as SHE ... my wife is not amused ...ooops
