I'm here in Milwaukee attending UWM. Everyone has an opinion, but honestly, I like Milwaukee. I think its a good city. I mean it has its flaws and its bad parts. But don't all cities have their flaws? Chicago has it's flaws and yet It's a good city, even though I could never live there.

Milwaukee has its flaws. But in all reality i think its a great city.

Milwaukee= Lamest fuckin city ever. I cant wait to leave this god forsaken city...Anf or all of you who claim that the southside is so great get real! Its just as lame as the rest of the city...
A couple of things, One, at the 1:28min mark of this, The guy speaking stated that the church was built by "devote Polish Settelers in Milwaukee" Ahh, sorry, it was Built by a (not just Polish but a) MULTITUDE of people, and NOT in Milwaukee, but built in Chicago and was brought up to Milw in different parts. Also, there are only FIVE Basilica's in the United States. If anyone wants a expert history Of 20th Century Milwaukee, email me for tour or help :) Sincerely, Pastor M. John

Nonsense! St Josefats was not a prefab church built in Chicago. The Chicago connection involves the fact that brick from the old Chicago post office was used for construction. The chuch evolved through 3 or 4 expansions to become the historical bascilica it is today. Although some work was contracted out, millions of volunteer hours went into the construction.

Let me explain something to you Moses. "No Reaper no deeper" is a saying they use here in Milwaukee that had its origins in the Chattanooga area. It basically means "the end justifies the means." You really have to experience Milwaukee culture to fully undersdtand it.

Thanks Kevin. I've been in Milw about 25 years but never heard that jive before. I've been to Chatanooga too, but not for long.
End justifies the means? Not sure how that applies to the city. We have a city that spends beyond it's means and a city in sharp decline because of lost industry and high taxation. That is the conclusion of my complete movie on the city.
