Have you ever shown up to a transit station only to have to wonder when your late bus or train would arrive? Or not known if there was construction or service changes at that station? With live transit updates now in Google Maps and Google Maps for mobile, you can get live departure times (so you know when your bus will actually arrive) and live service alerts for transit routes. Learn how it works then try it out at http://www.google.com/maps or in Google Maps for mobile.

  • stop reading from the prompter! yuck

  • I saw this Live Transit On the Google Map while working Data Entry.

  • Hey, why isn't it available in San Luis Obispo, CA? We're a small town and already have GPS live updates running on all our bus lines. We're even using Google already for our route planning. It only makes logical sense to continue the trend to live updates on Gmaps and Android. I know there's a handy third-party app already up on Market and the Web, but it lacks the fluid integration with the default Maps/Navigation/Contacts app.

  • Not New York? It's the busiest public transit system in North America!

  • She should have learnt those 2 sentences really..

  • Why are most comments here so useless! Oh yeah! This s YouTube!

Anyway, I wish this was implemented in my country, if only the public bus service was organized enough to implement it, people (even I) would use it more instead of using our own cars and public cars transportation.

  • its a SHEMALE with HEAVY makeup

and how many percent of the population uses transit nowadays? 95% or less than 1%. that is just useless feature, most people in America have a car to drive.

  • how is this going to help me with my porn?

  • Raccoon eyes

  • @rickardo004 Wow... my bad. I'm so used to being denied services since I live in Canada. I just assumed. I just checked google maps and WOW, it works :-D
