  • I have just posted the source code for this demo. You can check it out at technogumbo.

  • Most interesting... very cool application man. Have you ever used Red5 on the internet? I have a godaddy linux hosting account.

Does Red5 directory go on the server?

I have a site named developphp[dot]com where I want a conference room with two webcam screens that will display webcam video feed from 2 separate members that may be desiring to talk real time. You think this is possible on a Godaddy linux account?

  • Q1 Answer

Yes, I have used Red5 on the internet to stream things from the east to west coast, or simply to watch a webcam feed at my apartment from work.

    Q2 Answer

Yes, Red5 would run on a server. It needs Java to run.

    Q3 Answer

What you ask about your website is possible, but I have no clue about a godaddy linux account. I tried to look under their service plans and could not determine what service you have purchased. If its a shared server you may not be able to.

  • lol Ubuntu 8.2 does not exist. Anyway, this is a fine solution!

  • I just realized I said Ubuntu 8 "too" as in, as well. Not, Ubuntu 8.2.
