The meaning of Bohemian Rhapsody

It's widely accepted that it's about him realising he was gay / bi rather than straight. It was written at the time he realised this for a start. Roger Taylor, who is thought to be the only person who knows from Freddie what it means said that it's pretty obvious what it's about with a bit of nonsense thrown in. So it's possible to over-analyse it, but I would say you're on the right lines with the battle idea but it's probably him battling with himself about his sexuality

Nice video, after watching this video i realized that the meaning of this song sort of reflects the personality of Freddie Marcury to some extent reason i say that is because he was an artist a musician who was a freethinker and probably didnt follow any paticular religion :)

i dont know what's the real meaning of this song, but i feel it's about homosexuality and guilty..
i am gay and i feel guilty because i believe in god and everything.
im scared of someday having to face the true..
and sometimes i wish i've never been born at all
(sorry bad english)

Why the fuck does everybody feel the need to tell everybody else their age on Youtube? As if it actually matters?

@gamemastercameron Sorry to predicate on your observation, but this song was released in the mid-70s. AIDS wasn't discovered or realized until 1981. He couldn't have known it was AIDS.

This song is about the lead singer getting aids, not killing anyone. I know people think its suicide, but at the end he even says something like: So you think you can love me and leave me to die. Aids! Not suicide or fucking murder.

i read somethin' so different in this song... I just tried to perform it as a theater act.

@Elista369 I'm pretty sure he DIDN'T kill himself. It might be possible but I'm guessing he killed another man and ruined his life. He's apologizing to his mother for disapointing her
by throwing his life away. Now he's fighting for God's forgiveness. I came up with this and I'm 10. True Fact lmfao

wow you people gotta understand that there is NO true meaning to this song!!! Even Freddie said so himself!

dude, so aroggant " i'm 14 and i came up with this!", u shouldnt said that.. -.- i think it was megan who worked 100% of the work, and u only 40% of it...
Uhmm, i hate to breakk it to youu ; but he didnt kill justt any mann . He killed himselff . (:
Just because the song is called "Bohemian Rhapsody" ,, doesnt meann its actually about itt. Basicallyy, he killed himself cuz he hated his lifee so muchh. But there was peoplee who actually lovedd him , that didnt wanna "let him go" . &&+, he's apoligizing to his momm.. Well, shes his mom ! She had to of lovedd him . Now i'm 13, && a HUGE Queen fan, so maybe youu didnt fully interpret it back thenn

im very sorry to disappoint you, but your explanation is SO incomplete and incoherent.
Its obviously about him realising he was a homosexual, EVE THE NAME SUGGETS IT ! its just so . . . wrong, theres so much history lucking in this, you didn't do the research right, sorry, BTW im 16.

@verdugo98
Bohemian: Of or relating to Bohemia or its people/ A native or inhabitant of Bohemia.
Rhapsody: An effusively enthusiastic or ecstatic expression of feeling.
Bohemian Rhapsody then means, An expression of feeling of being "just a poor boy."
Nowhere in the title "suggests" anything of homosexuality. Sorry to disappoint you :)
But thank you for your comment and opinion!
BTW- Spell check is always a plus in any comment you want taken seriously.

@xSlaminSamx I started making this when I was 13, and I finished when I was 14. So I know what you mean. I'm now 17. Maybe someday you'll be as incredibly awesome as me ;)
