I tuned my 12-string to D-A-D-F#-A-D (normal is E-A-D-G-B-D) for REO Speedwagon's Time for me to Fly, the way Kevin Cronin plays it. That's going to take a bit more work, but this sorta came out while I was practicing that. This ends up being in G, the original key of the original ELP version (I think?)

  • @iaingbrennan thanks - glad you liked it! yes, give it a go and let me know when you've put up your version!

  • Nice take on a classic ELP song, never heard it played in Open D before, but it works!, such a nice sound, must give it a go on my 12-string....
