Medical Marijuana in New Jersey. Finally.

Both houses of the New Jersey Assembly voted overwhelmingly to decriminalize marijuana for sick and dying people. the Governor has promised to sign and ratify it into law.

The good news: the Garden State will become the 14th state in the country to legalize marijuana for the chronically ill.

The bad news: in 36 states it's still illegal.

I mashed up this video to illustrate to other state to other states the bipartisan approach that carried the day in Trenton. There are some real heros in the fight. You'll meet them here too.

im sorry to say this poor woman with ALS will more than likely never get the legal mj under state law if christie has anything to say about it...he keeps sitting on his thumbs, and making more and more ridiculous regs on it, hes stone walling while people are suffering..shame on you!!

Its about time and although I believe recreational use should be legal as well, NJ legislatures did the right thing. My mother died of ALS and I know medical MJ would have helped her through some of the horrible symptoms she sufferred.

Isn't Marijuana a specified class of narcotic by the Federal Government? I thought the Federal Government controlled the FDA? I'm under the impression the Federal Government can impose sanctions on states that oppose its stance on issues/laws.
