Disclaimer first: I own nothing, all characters, music and situations are copywrited to their respective labels. I believe this falls under the fair use act? Guys, chill! Free PR is a good thing.

There are a lot of themes running through the Final Fantasy VII compilation. Among these is the idea of legacies. You have Shinra's legacy in the form of the environment; you have Sephiroth's and Hojo's legacies in the form of the idea of annihilation as a means of purification (not to mention the legacy of science gone insane!). Another theme I noticed was the legacies that mentors left in their students. As Zack was Angeal's legacy, so Cloud is Zack's living Legacy: Pride in oneself and one's abilities and the freedom to follow your dreams (in a way, that was one of Genesis's legacies as well).
This video takes a brief look at the Mentor and Students in Crisis Core. Enjoy!

  • what's level grinding?

  • @thomas41506

Basically, you do nothing but missions in order to get Zack's level and materia (and equipment) so beefed up that you literally can breeze your way through the rest of the main game/storyline. It's tedious as all get-out, but when all else fails... =P

  • I bet you did i'd probably do the same.. Zach's story is just so sad isn't it? but I still like the character! I'm 3/4 of the way through the game actually i'm stuck on a part where I'm fighting Genesis again.

Yep. Only thing I found out that works...level-grinding and luck. I can't believe I just said something in favor of level-grinding...

  • omg this is so good and sad

Thank you so very much! This one was really wrenching to make, and I still start sniffling during it. Ever since I heard "Going Home" while watching "Gods and Generals", I couldn't get the idea out of my mind.
