Paulina tells Jake to relax, and realizes she's not the only one who's insecure. She sits him down so they can talk and tells him that she's on overload and has a lot of things to think about and needs to be by herself to do it. Jake asks if this is about Kevin and says he won't share Paulina with his brother. Paulina tells him he won't have to share her, because she doesn't love Kevin. Then she admits that she never slept with Kevin. They kissed a couple of times, but that's as far as it went. Jake is shocked. Paulina hurriedly explains that she was afraid of letting go and coming to Jake, so she said the one thing she knew would keep him away: that she slept with his brother. But she hated doing it, hated hurting Jake like that, and she couldn't take it back, and she asks Jake if he can forgive her. Jake is silent for a moment and then says he guesses he's not the only one who can pull a scam. Paulina hopefully asks if this means he's not mad. He says he was for about a second, but "let's not do this again!" Paulina agrees, because neither she nor Jake wants to lose what they've found now with each other. Jake hugs Paulina and tells her he'll take her home. When they stop to get Paulina's jacket and purse, she laughingly remarks that they trashed the place pretty good. Jake says he'll never forget this night, and Paulina says she won't either, and then they leave, arms around each other. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
