  • I got a company I worked with for a year and a half. They report it as two jobs only report the first two months (1 job) and last month (2 jobs) I worked there. I have check stubs, logbooks, and DOT inspections that prove I worked there 18 months.

    They reported me as quit under dispatch, log violations, company policy violation, and in notes please call company.

    I refused to work over 70 hr rule and have disputed report. I filed with FTC and nothing. DAC needs a class action

  • C.R.England i was leaseing a truck from them and i was out on the road for 6weeks and got home time and was home for 3day the 3day about 3:30am they came and got my truck with all my shit in it and wont give it back and they put abandonment on my DAC and that bull shit.

  • This is exactly why we should all pull together and at least TRY to STOP DAC REPORTING ABUSE. Too many stories like yours ... too many drivers .... 2010 will be the year we push forward with this cause .... everyone's help is needed .... good luck to you - Allen

  • the DAC report (many times) is "slander" plain and simple . employers can put anything they want on there . for the individual it is time consuming, and near impossible to correct your own. such a dis service to the many hard working people trying to exist in this troubled industry..

  • Thank you for making sure that I saw this, truthabouttrucking! I tried to sign the petition, but every time I click "submit", it goes to a white screen and that's it. I don't know if my signature ever got added. DAC and USIS, (now HireRight)

    need to be sued out of business.

  • You call this a "free country"? The very nature of this slanderess and illegal reporting of a driver should be totally banned. This is big bucks trucking companies in bed with this fucking government. What happened to our labor laws? If their going to make a report on a person than that said person should be the first to get it after termination of employment. The coward trucking co. wouldn't like that because drivers would be in their face right off the bat. This is destroying peoples' lives!

  • They are running under the name "Hire Rite" now...Probably the same tactic Miswestern Distribution out of Fort Scott, KS used decades ago...They lost their insurance so folded shop and moved across the line to Missouri...Introducing PRIME, INC. Different name, different company, SAME PLAYERS AND SAME ZERO DOWN TRUCKS THAT YOU WILL NEVER OWN.

  • As an aspiring truck driver...this info is the biggest strike i've heard so far against truck driving. It's actually unbelievable. Any trucking company, I don't care how reputable they are, has a big strike against it if they participate in this DAC shit!

  • I think people need to file a class action lawsuit against DAC and many trucking compnaies. I think they have a great case. Once they win, and they should, that should put an end to this bullshit forever.

  • @alltvisanimated Trucking companies should not be allowed to have sole discretion to determin the preventability of accidents. This violates the drivers individual Constitutional right to due proccess. Also, drivers should not be forced by employers or potential employer to confess or endorse any document containing allegations involving an alleged accident unless that driver has been fully convicted of such behavior.

  • Any driver who feels that they are a victim of these civil rights violations should contact the American Civil Liberties Union(ACLU).
