Although Natalie Coughlin is only 26 years young, she has dealt with the heart-breaking obstacles of athletes twice her age and has twice felt the exhilaration of triumph on the worlds biggest stage. Here, Coughlin sits down with us to discuss a nearly career-ending injury when she was just 19 and why she chose to decline lucrative endorsement contracts to compete for Cal-Berkeley. The 11-time Olympic medalist and the only woman to repeat gold-medal-winning performances in the 100-meter backstroke also tells us the life lessons she has learned from sport.
