http://www.starcraftprotossstrategy.org This video shows a build order used by professional SC2 players such as Dignitas Naniwa. It is different from most fast expand builds because it takes double gas early. In order to make up for the lost mineral income from having 6 probes on gas it relies on building a lot of early sentries which cost a lot of gas but hardly any minerals. If executed correctly then your warpgate tech should finish at the same time as the nexus goes down. I messed it up a little in the video.

The exact build order is as follows
9 - Pylon
13 - Gateway [SCOUT]
15 - Assimilator
16 - Pylon
18 - Cybernetics Core
19 - Assimilator [2]
20 - Zealot
23 - Warpgate Research
23 - Pylon
24 - Sentry [1]
27 - Gateway [2]
29 - Sentry [2] constant sentry production
31 - Pylon
33 - Nexus [Warpgate Should be Finished if Chronoboosted]
40 - Robotics Facility

  • good video.. but you never scouted. you had no idea whether your opponent was doing a 12 rax push or any sort of early pressure or not. i realize you have it in the description to scout but it must be said that against early pressure this build won't work well. if this is ladder play it must be very very low since your opponent didn't even scout you.

  • @DulcetTones yeah, you want to scout at 13 and if you see something like 2 early barracks then you'll want to delay the expansion. This was my first video and just trying to show the basic outline of the build. On maps with easy to defend chokes you can be pretty safe vs most all ins though with proper forcefield usage.

  • just do an early exp and forge :/

  • @NashStatMatrix 2 per mineral patch, you only need 16 - 17 miners to saturate minerals (then 6 for gas would make 22-23). So I agree on the number, but only 2 per patch.

  • @Ragnarosofdarkness 3 per mineral patch, so it would be 24 probes

  • Wow you would get murdered with any kind of early pressure .... marines, 3gate zealots ... even lings would have ruined you.

  • @MGN I forgot I could get bunkers as toss

  • This is not Fast expand. Disliked

  • @mgnperson Money spent on a forge and cannons is money better put into gateway units such as stalkers and sentry's. Also wasting money on forge and cannons actually costs time in your build too when you want to get your warp gates and expansions out as quickly as possible to do damage, not just turtle like a noob.

  • @Ragnorosofdarkness well 3 probes on each gas, and 2-3 probes on each mineral patch

  • @MikeyTheNub Well...if your against zerg...i like to ALWAYS I MEAN ALWAYS make an early forge...one cannon can kill like 5 zerglings...easily...and also ALWAYS have a sentry...the FIRST unit you can make is either a zeolot or a stalker...agianst zerg, i preffer a fast zeolot to fend off 6 pool, but the second unit you ALWAYS make is a sentry...ALWAYS.with a zentry and 2 stalkers,,,a few zeolots, you can easliy kill 20 zerglings....escpecially if you got a cannon up
