The most common mixolydian chord loop (I-bVII-IV or bVII-IV-I) animated, explained and illustrated using extracts from well-known rock recordings in different keys. Useful and amusing for anyone wanting to get to grips with realities of harmony in popular music. Practical demonstration of writings on one aspect of modal harmony (visit |tagg.org| and enter "modal harmony mixolydian" in the site's Search box). P.S. The chord at 05:09 should be C#, not C#m: sorry.
please do more of these in other modes you solved my mode questions thank you

Hello,
How would you explain that in live Lynyrd often end Sweet Home Alabama on a G chord and not a D, which you stated as the tonic.
Thanks

I'll never forget what an anacrusis is for as long as I live now.
(And I have a feeling your voice will pop into my head every time I hear one)
