  • Im new tothis stuff so I half to ask what kind if licence do you need for that

  • Its licensed as a boat and thats the only license you need . It doesn't go high enough for the FAA to worry about it (at least so far :-)

  • Na I was past the bridge before lift off :-) But I have flown under that bridge before.

  • @countrylivinone the FAA will probably try to milk some money out of it some how anyways.

  • cool antigravity ufo or helicopter extc and adaptive camaflauge tokyo professor invisible coat coaking cloaking device

  • Here there! Where do I buy one of those things? And how much is it?

  • Yes. The extra lift comes from ground effect (the compression of the air between the wings and the ground) and as you rightly say, will decrease with height.

  • There's no other engine for lift, it's the ground effect itself, that is causing the lift, much over 20feet or so above the water, and the craft will lose it's lift.

  • Little more wing/high speed but if anything is going fast enough it's going to fly. The point of the ekrano planes was they needed alot less power to maintain height in ground effect that a plane needed for free flight, but could still go at speeds similar to that of an aircraft. This is not an ekranoplane, it's a 'hoverwing'. It's not clear from the video whether there is another engine for lift, or whether the lift is generated as a result of propulsion.

  • Pretty damn cool. Is this thing made from a kit or built from scratch? Someone has balls to fly that under a bridge.

  • Very cool machine. How much lift are you getting from the wing, at higher speeds? Little more wing and some ailerons and you're flying.
