Rare C. 1870 Black Forest Picture Clock with Automated Blacksmith Scene Double Automaton

This is a rare Black Forest clock with a double automation. The two blacksmiths work the anvil in the cut out in the painting. The smaller figure swings his hammer with the swing to the pendulum, the larger figure pounds the anvil in sequence with the strike. The clock uses a wood plate movement.
