Have you ever been in a control tower before? It's a computer NIGHTMARE. Most airports have a fix on failure mentality. When a unit fails, they move it aside and slap another one in. There is 40 year old equipment working alongside 2 year old equipment in many towers across the country. This equipment SNAFU couldn't help matters.
