    my uncle is Atheist and at christmas time he puts on the old franky xmas albums. Just because someone doesnt believe in god they still celebrate christmas because to them its a symbol of being with family and just having that special time with the family.

    Love your wording. I'm an atheist too, we just celebrate it as a time where everybody is together, and it's about being thankful for friends and family. We just cut religion out.

    Not necessarily cutting religion out. its more like focusing on the togetherness rather than the spiritual aspects of christmas

    Sorry but you can't have it both ways. Christmas is the celebration of the birth of CHRIST. You can and should celebrate being with your friends and family but there is no cutting religion out of the birth of Christ.
