It was shot on Super 8 (18 fps Kodachrome processed at Dwayne's in Kansas). I work in the film industry so I always have film on hand. My VHS camcorder (it was 2001, people) was buried in my closet so it was faster to pull a Super 8 cartridge from my fridge and load it into one of the cameras on my display shelf. I was fussing with a lens attachment and missed the 2nd plane strike; I only caught the explosion. To my knowledge, it is the only FILM footage of the attack.

It'd be through special order, maybe from Ilford.

I'm 27 and I have a fairly good memory.. so I remember technology --->>"It was 2001. Before camera phones and Memory chips.

They had film or tape, and if you wanted tape you would have to pay big bucks for many different reasons, like the tapes were too expensive, the camera was too expensive. The majority of cameras before 1998 were fairy big as well. "

I just didn't know Super 8 Films was Available in 2001.

It was 2001. Before camera phones and Memory chips. They had film or tape, and if you wanted tape you would have to pay big bucks for many different reasons, like the tapes were too expensive, the camera was too expensive. The majority of cameras before 1998 were fairy big as well. So this guy or gal was smart to have a super 8 camera laying around. P.S.captured on a Super 8 camera with Ektachrome film

    Higher res than video?

Too bad the footage couldn't get in closer, it might have provided some insight as to what caused the towers to fall.

Maybe shut some of the thermite kids up.
