A contribution for line 3 of Snowfeet's collective poem project. For instructions or to contribute a line to the poem (on this thread or any other), go to Snowfeet's video.

Pardon the slight speed glitch in line 1 in the video.

In this thread:
Line 1 - Snowfeet, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A8QGgK1-YI&feature=video_response
Line 2 - tinySpectacle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjjsJ749I2Y&feature=response_watch
Line 3 - harleynanda

1. I wake up singing a song I've never heard before
2. The clock itches seconds, a standard-issue Army blanket of possibility
3. To pace my frigid passing through this silence touched by huddled masses

  • Michael,you really turn a nice phrase...well said! *****

  • Thank you, Tom. Good to see you again. This was a fun project to participate in. You can follow the links back to snowfeet's original video and then follow each thread as people added to it, line by line. Even though the project kind of came to a conclusion, and she produced some cumulative verse, anyone can still jump in and add more lines to any thread they choose at any time.

  • I learn from you sir.

  • Thank you, my good friend. It is a mutual state. Thank you so much for stopping by and viewing. A most pleasant day to you, Maestro.

  • Hello Michael! Just popping over to see what you have been up to :) Lovely to see you and hear your distinctive voice again.....Your lines are rich and hold so much in so few words...Bravo, sir :)

    Sunbeam :)

  • Hello, dear lady. Thank you for stopping by, and for your kind comments. I've been quite busy with things this past year and have not done much on YT. I've not posted a video in quite some time, but as this required a single line response to participate, I decided to put together a quick vedeo response to this great idea of Sophie's (snowfeet). You should join in and add a line to one of the many existing threads (see the 'more info' side bar).

  • I will check it out...thank you..

  • Very interesting!!

  • Oh, very cool. I'm so glad you joined in--your line is great and carries the poem forward.

  • Hello Diane, my beautiful friend. So glad that you enjoyed this little contribution to Snowfeet's collective, and glad that you enjoyed the recitation, a rather rough version. To be truthful, the pause between "silence" and "touched" shouldn't be there, but I was having technical difficulties with the camera download and had to use the least damaged 'take' for the video. It seems with every attempt the problem got worse. So, thank you for your kind comment, and for always seeing the bright side.
