E306: new motion sensing PS3 controller IN CONTEXT!

To _truly_ understand just how revolutionary & "cutting edge" the technology of the new PlayStation 3 controller (previewed at E3 2006) is, you should watch this controller review from Gamespot TV, circa 1999 (and yes, that is Adam Sessler).

I like G4's roots. It's full of crap now though. It's hard to banter everyday. Eventually you have to script things. Just give your information and shut the fuck up. Smile, inform, go home. Blair Butler and Adam Sessler should host every show until they develop some better programming. I'm not watching anyway though.

When what's-her-name from Cheat got to guest-host Attack of the Show and do some stuff that wasn't so heavily scripted, I thought she was pretty good too... (much better than that plastic LA chick they've got on AOTS now) ... but I miss Sarah Lane. ~~

Summer 2006: "Attack of the Show" R.I.P. The replacement show, with Kevin P and Olivia Munn, though retaining the same name, would more accurately be titled "Attack of the Suck". Tagline: "The show that recycles it after it gets out."

2. Sorry the audio and video is out of sync. My video/audio capture technology wasn't that good 7 or 8 years ago, and I didn't spend a lot of time editing this before posting it.

So will tilt-sensing be nice to have on the PS3? Maybe.

But is it some new, revolutionary technology? Obviously not. (That's what "in context" means.)

I'm getting a lot of comments on this video again (note it was posted in May). Did some web site or blog just feature this again, or all you all coming from some comment board? Here are some points, again, if you missed the description and earlier comments:

1. The only point is that Sony was hyping the tilt-sensing for the ps3 like it was some new wonderful technology. Seeing the "first look" from Sony in May made me think: "hey, I remember seeing that technology before... back in the 90s."

ys but u do know the PS3 was in devlopment longer and even before teh XBOX360 came out so i think nitendo tuk the ideo for the PS3 controller and useed it for the Wii remote
