@bmj190267 we are the same age bro. I was at the the Wheel from the end of '69 to the last night in Jan '71. Would have been there sooner but I used to DJ in a club in Middlesbrough at weekends. I pretended I was my older brother! I used to spin this myself. Fantastic tune. KTF

my sister was 16, her boyfriend called said he couldn't make the CYO dance? Her girlfriend called said lets go anyway. There was her true love dancing with another chick!...broken hearted,...she married on the Rebound! this was their "LOVE SONG/SWAN SONG!!!.....So sad/ Great song!!! my condolences to Johnny Carters Family & friends! @comegetasample Brilliant stuff! I'm 20 now and Ive always loved the general northern soul, ska and reggae sounds but usually had no idea where to start...besides northern soul as i also have an uncle who's massively into the stuff. KEEP THE FAITH MATE!
Sad news to inform: falsetto/tenor singer Johnny Carter of the Dells passed away at age 75 from complications of cancer. Prayers, condolences, and sympathies go out to his family and friends, including Marvin, Mickey, Verne, and Chuck.

im 15 and i absaloutly love this song, my mates bash me abit for being into northern soul, ska and trojan reggea but its some of the best music ive ever heard, i think its important to remember and enjoy music like this. my uncle was a member of wigan casino and ive got his jacket with all the patches on R.I.P uncle ian ill miss you. KEEP THE FAITH!!
