The boat came unhooked and spunout. Thet were basically pumping gravel out of the back of the boat. If you watch the boat hits bottom when it stops and begans to turn to go back up river. They just ran out of deep water. The boats will run through 6 inches of water on plane, but when there basically parked they need about 2 feet of water.

Well I think I found the part of the video your talking about they the racers were running into a head wind of about 50 MPH. It was causing the boats to almost hang in the air. Their speeds were probably only around guessing about 40-50. Most drivers were afraid of getting blown over.

when thay take a bad corner or they fly high and it stalls in the air. you are not planing anymore and going around 4 mph. you barely can ge the nose down again and that has to be easy with 600hp.
