Yes, unfortunately for the Lakota they stole a lot of it from the Kiowa and others as they got hold of horses and notions of empire from the white man and used them to expand their territories west to follow the buffalo. The sami always followed the reindeer all over Scandinavia and elsewhere in the north, and had to back into herding/husbandry when Nordic nationalities and Christian crusades against native religion emerged that encroached onto their free ranging lifestyle to "civilize" them.

It was shot with my mobile phone (Nokia N91). Turned out very good. Photo's shot with this phone are usually very poor quality.

The flute was made by mr. Hanssen himself from a cane plant that grows in the wild in north Norway.
