Whatever Magus says is the truth and ok by me.

Zeal lost the argument as soon as he said, "you wouldn't understand." That's a cop-out.
No one's argument was flawless either. Marle saying it's okay to sacrifice people to save more... Zeal's argument of normal people doing nothing extraordinary was a bad point as well; tried to make an opinion a fact.
Zeal was just psychotic like his wife, just not as close-minded. He at least tried to justify it by saying it was for the best instead of just wishing to become immortal & seeking power.

"...were abruptly brought to an end by Lavos retaliation before you could realize your stagnancy once more. And here we are King Zeal. Back to acquire more power and afterwards dream just like your predecessors. Sorry, but I hate it when history repeats. I'm putting an end to this Zealean Cycle right now! Come King Alphard Zeal! Be enlightened by the industrialism of the earthbound, and step into the heart of ambition!

Me In Crimson Echoes
"What? We earthbound lack ambition? Don't make me laugh! You so called "enlightened ones" are the ones who truly lack ambition. You acquired magic, went into the sky, and then began to unproductively dream. You dreamed of much, but accomplished nothing! Upon realizing your stagnancy you attempted to acquired the power of Lavos much in the same way you acquired magic. After doing so you repeated your last mistake and once again began to dream; however, this time your dreams

"I guess, in the end, I may have sided with King Zeal... --ZEAL"
Of course you would have. He's basically your author avatar. Oh, and the "argument" between King Zeal and the party? I'm going to side with Rusen on this, since he/she said everything I would have.

I'm sorry, but that rock remix of Magus' theme made my insides experience horrible, horrible pain. Please, never do that again.

F*CKING
BOSSES!!!
Just curious, since you obviously couldn't use "Battle With The Devil" for the in-game final boss music, what would you have used? One of the original final battle themes, or would you have had someone create an SMC that sounded as close as possible to Battle With The Devil or something else?

@RySenkari
I think it would have ended up being "The Final Battle" (Lavos' last battle theme) for lack of time, but SMC creation/editing did get to the point where something could have been inserted if someone had time for a last sacrificial effort. I can only speculate on what the team might have chosen had the final weeks of development come to fruition.

@CEMemorial ok but it sounds different? sorry i just love that version of it the one i was listening to sounded faster than this one i want the slow version like this
shadowzero90 1 year ago
@shadowzero90 There are two versions of this theme on the "Ann Cinniuint" OST IIRC: "The Devil," which is the slow one, and "Battle with the Devil," which is the fast one used for battle music in that game. Hope that helps!
