Here in England, jaywalking doesn't exist - our government are relaxed enough to let us cross the road without assistance

I cycle every day. Just about 30 miles too. People tell me all the time, "you cyclist's think you own the road". I tell them I do. And I am not stopping for you unless I see a red and blue light behind me (and thats if I am weighted down). HA

For a second I thought this was about Cambridge, UK.

Here there is no jaywalking. Most roads are public highways for use by all, including pedestrians. I was initially shocked to find this out when we moved here, but it's a much more enlightened approach.
