  • LAME You guys cut half of the scene and the costumes suck. Cast tenures for Hatter and hare also Why leave the table Costume The cats in black and have them in wooden parts of the cat.

  • @geckosist We didn't cut half the scene, I just didn't post the entire scene : big difference. I'm assuming "tenures" means tenors? The hare is in fact a tenor, and the girl playing the hatter is capable of singing a tenor...but funny story - both parts are actually written in alto range because it's a show designed to be performed by pre-pubescent middle school kids :)

  • hey singindancinfool whats the next play your going to upload? Please respond!

  • @roccorockssd You can expect another show July/August and it will be "What a Knight"

  • Love this.. we are putting this scene into our end of year show :-)

  • I'm the mad hatter.. Let the training begin!

  • Ohhh jesus...Im the mad hatter and im scared XDDD

  • @googlyeyeproduction Also, musicals get intricate blocking with singing all the time. A little extra effort could have done this. Three days of rehearsal, TOPS to get a good staging down with the song.

All in all this looks like a middle school performance with as much effort as would be expected of a middle school class.

  • @googlyeyeproduction I'm sorry. but no. I've done this play. And seen it done. Outside no less. You only need one cat. Just good staging and blocking. This was not. Even with the costumes as they are, no makeup at all to make it appear for catlike, first of all.

And for the vanishing re-appearing thing, sure. That might work. (If you couldn't do it right with 1) but you should not have them all on stage at the same time. It TOTALLY shatters the 4th wall.

  • @SilverDragonz333 First, they can't get too complicated with the blocking otherwise it would hinder their singing, which is more important especially in an outdoor theatre. Second, the costumes were made more simple like that because everyone in the cast except Alice makes several quick changes throughout the show and they have to practically be in and out in order to keep things moving smoothly. Third, the script actually calls for 3 cats as to give a better illusion of his disappearing habbits

  • I'm sorry. Terrible blocking. HORRID costume design. And 3 cats? Even if you HAD to do that, the way it was done was awful.

  • @singindancinfool hey is this aline theater prodject
