can you rewatch footage on it? and how do you get the footage from the tape on to computer??

@deebeemee100 yes if you move the on/off button to VTR instead of camera the VTR buttons will light up on the top of the camera. You then can play, rewind, etc to watch your video. If you use a firewire cable from the camera to your computer you will be able to import your footage to your editing program.

In order to pick up sound, you need have a microphone plugged into the XLR inputs on the camera. There is no built in microphone.

Is there a way to change recording time on your tape? and how do you do it? Tapes say you can record up to 90 min. in long play.
Thanks

Hello rtomlin, This camera is unable to record LP speed, on most prosumer level cameras you won't find this feature. On many consumer level mini DV camcorders you can get 90 minutes of record time on a 60min MiniDV tape. However your quality of picture will degrade so it's better to avoid this as an option. This camera can also shoot DV CAM speed which means you will only get 40 minutes on your tapes, so double check you aren't recording in DV CAM speed by accident. Hope this helps.
