Here's my first attempt at bookmaking using Bet Angel Pro. I set my bookmaker up with 101%, no more than £150 being used and looking for a £1 profit. Didn't go completely to plan as the fave started to drift like a git! I had to adjust my odds on him to make sure of the match. Once they were all matched I jumped over to the manual bet screen, where I adjusted the loss under each horse until all where under £1 liabilty. Although I lost 41p at the end of it, I think it was probably my fault. I'll have to study abit more on this before I reap the rewards with bookmaking. I'll try again soon.

  • Looks to me he tried to "hedge" in order to minimise lose's, then had to hedge manually the other 2 selections, trying to make a book overall is way too risky and rarely wins imo.

Stick to trading on a single selection, as to being heavily in profit i have hedged at a couple of pounds, meaning i have gotten about 50pence, but hey its green rather than red.

  • been practising with the bookmaking i now make ALOT more on the books than single horse trading. definately the way to go imo. thanks for looking at the vids

  • nice :) but u really need to be heavily in profit to make Hedge betting (greening) worthwhile. BTW what software did you use mate for tracking your mouse :)

  • thanks for watching. the software is camtasia

  • hi as you said above you are making a lot now bookmaking but i'm wondering if you've had any serious losses due to the reduction factor created by non runners as or whether these losses have been minimal. my only fear with bookmaking is losing something like a grand with only 200 in my bank. any observations from your experience would be appreciated

  • Although it appears you were unlucky with the Fav drifting, I reckon you could have helped youself a lot more if you hadnt waited til about 1 min before the off. "Cold" trading like this is asking for trouble this close to the off (spectre of office money and so on). This approach can easily work but Id advise getting out once the clock gets below 5 mins mate.

  • hi, how are you getting on with trading on BET ANGEL, I have just got the 20 day trial on the professional and am really interested in the BOOKMAKING function, but there is not much on the help guide about it. i.e. which races to do , when should you enter the trade etc , any tips would be appreciated

  • You were just unlucky that the favourite went for a walk in the market. Your principles are sound and bookmaking (as you now know) is not risky and neither are the wins infrequent.

If you get the correct race and a strong market then it's a license to print money.
