Michael is such a big kid. He acts like an idiot, but he doesn't mean to. Even when he's being really insulting, there is no malice behind it. He just says what he thinks. He's completely genuine, and that's why great moments like this can happen.

This is actually my favorite segment ever on the office. It feels like one of the most touching emotionally honest feelings that I feel any show has been able to capture.

I like the fact that when Michael tells Pam that she nailed it,

he doesn't realize that when it comes to a show of friendship,

he nailed it too.

This is why I watch The Office. There are these beautiful moments when these ridiculously out of wack people are just so vulnerable and human. This was a very deeply emotional moment because even though Michael is such a screw up, his intentions are honest and he is a good person. Love it!
