I would like there to be a law mandating that everyone wear a helmet when they ride a two wheel vehicle.
If you refuse to wear the bike helmet, you should be fined $25.
When you go to police station, the police can give you a helmet with the fine money.
There is no valid excuse not to wear a helmet. It can save your life.
If you fall off your bike or get clipped by a car, it's Canadians who are going to be footing the bill and its your brain and skull that will feel it.
Ride Safe.

As a cyclist I think this videos like this one should have a place on television. Maybe then the drivers here in the Labrador Straits would have more consideration for cyclist on the road!

what a nice bike that was with all the flowers. I have a mirror took even though it is not cool.

I want to start riding my bike everywhere!!! :D
In fact, I'm going to get air into the tires today and I'm going to go for a ride! :)
I need to get a helmet though....And one of those little mirrors would be handy-dandy!

Stop allowing parking on routes with street-cars. Make bike-lanes of North&East sidewalks, walking only on South&West ones. You will increase traffic flow and keep the cyclists away from driver-side doors. And please stay out of Scarborough, Olivia ... we like John Wayne.

I once was riding near parked cars when someone was getting into their car. They could see me and they still opened their door in front of me. Some people just don't car.
Getting "doored" by parked cars is a major, major safety issue. I agree with the tips for avoiding getting doored. In addition to educating cyclists, we also need to educate drivers about bicyclists on the road. Perhaps small signs (in areas of on-street parking) showing a cyclist riding into an open car door would help to remind drivers to look for cyclists before opening their doors when they get out of their cars. Educating youth in drivers-ed classes also can go a long way. Nice video!
