The Block of the S1 ( 2144ccm ) is a Alu Block . Since the "Ur" Quattro whent out of production there where no more Alu-Blocks from Audi .

@tzurka- your right, it's not the same block but the 2.2 is capable of a 1500 HP build. The urs4 2.2 engine is actually better than the 2.1. The 2.2 is the most refined inline 5 turbo they made.

The rally quattro had 550hp. When doing 1500hp you can only use the Audi block and get the rest custom made.
