I felt bad when the camera got hit, good race anyway.

this aint even a derby them old cars can hardly get dented they are just playing tag,now put these in with new cars now that would be a derby
-
Sweet derby and I agree the mud tires would have helped a lot. I love old cars, but if they're headed to the crusher anyway, at least have some fun with them. They actually held up better than I thought. Fun.

well tell you the truth i might have to agree with faithfulcmm1972 i think the newer cars should be derby cars and the olds one not so much you know
-
were they on 1950's tyres as well

30 to 40? We have vintage banger racing over here, the meeting for them at mildenhall generally attracts 100+ cars!
-
Only a handful of cars? In UK ,there's at least 3 or 4 Vintage Derbys a year and they have 30/40 cars..Well if this will become an annual event there will be already more cars
next year I'm sure...
It is a good show but honestly it hurts to watch. I think these cars would have best been restored. Just doesnt seem right to "junk" them, IDK maybe im being too sentimental but it is painful to watch.

@faithfulcmm1972 All of these cars were set to be crushed for scrap. Way beyond restoration. Thats why it was called the wrecking yard rumble.
