Cohen Town Hall Meeting in Memphis

On August 8, 2009 Congressman Steve Cohen (D - TN 9th) held a town hall meeting in Memphis. Best estimates are that ~1,000 attended. This is raw footage taken outside during the event. I could not get inside with a video camera and in the video you will hear local channel 24 complaining that they could not get in with theirs either. Attendees leaving suggested that it was a very loud exchange inside and that doctors invited by Cohen were actually vocal against the current Health Care Reform legislation being considered in Congress. I can understand why Cohen would not want that on tape.

Steve Cohen is an idiot. He compared the new proposed health care system to the "successful" U.S. post office. I watched C-span today talking about how the U.S. post office was going bankrupt and how it needed a several billion dollar bailout.
