XP and Ubuntu boot up rocks!(vista boot sucks)

I tried booting up first time, log on screen asks- it is asking me username-password can not get beyond this point, can any one help?

in my 900 mhz amd duron ubuntu boots in about 1 minute, and i had no tweaking

Even when installed on disk it's about 2 mins. Takes longer than XP by double. About the same as Vista's.

Vista takes at mine 40 seconds to boot.
