Hiding objects temporarily
How can you temporarily hide an object? Go to the Advanced menu -- Ctrl-Alt-D on PC or Ctrl-Opt-D on Mac. Then from this Advanced menu, to turn on the tool to hide the object, select Rendering -- Hide Selected. With the Hide Selected option checked, you can Right-click -- Edit any object to make it temporarily disappear. You can Shift-click to select multiple objects to hide at one time. You can hide avatars, too. This tool is useful for builders who want to see inside structures without moving any objects. It's like X-ray vision! To show the object again, simply deselect the object. Some of these can be turned off from "friendlier" places in the user interface. Remember, although the object will be invisible, you cannot walk through it. Also, hiding an object is not a permanent solution, as the object is only hidden and not removed. (Remember that if you see any advertisements used to harass others, this may be against our Community Standards and you should report them.) Disabling render types can boost your viewer performance, as it draws less geometry. By turning off rendering types you may be able to speed things up. How do you turn off types of rendering? Advanced menu -- Rendering -- Types.
can you do that to other players clothing? OH come onnn, we're all thought about that lol.

Thanks for this video, Torley!
In the next videos you may want to add that Linux users usually turn on the Advanced menu with
Ctrl-Alt-Shift-D
Second Life client is cross-platform and it works pretty well on Linux! :-)

Nice

Id like to see that incorporated in the mute feature. ;) Muting something should make it completely void of interaction (phantom, invisible, silent).
