is this a 'Common Boa' like the one i have> or is it a redtailed boa? i want mine to grow to at least 8ft like yours, 9would be awesome. he's currently 4ft

Its a common boa constrictor. Females grow around the 9 ft range. I presume yours is a male? Usually males grow 6-7 feet on average.
