Sonic Adventure 2 Battle - Metal Harbor

Me doing an 'A grade' run of Sonic Adventure 2 Metal Harbor -- meant as a video of the game rather than anything serious.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was the first game I brought for the Nintendo GameCube, a week before the console came out (something like this happened in the US, I think with Star Wars: Rogue Leader?). It initially felt strange playing a SEGA game on a Nintendo console, but I soon got over that and just enjoyed the game.

Yet I learnt another thing about Sonic, he hadn't made the transition from 2D to 3D all that smoothly, with a camera that had a mind of its own and mechanics from the 16bit era. Still it was still quite good fun despite the faults.

I must have enjoyed myself though, because I would later buy the remake of the first Sonic Adventure, the three Advance games and Sonic Heroes.

I'd would imagine that production of this game ceased quite some time ago, certainly after the creation of the Wii.

There should be quite a number of copies out there, since the game sold well enough to gain a Player's Choice re-release back in the day.

why would u get the extra shit? go for speed not points

Why? Mostly to get the A ranks and so unlock stuff, like the bonus level you get with all the emblems obtained.

Unless it unlocks something - like an alternative ending - Im not really bothered about speed running. I play games to have fun and be entertained, not to prove myself to anyone. If I want to play a game where I have to push myself, I'll play Ikaruga or something proper difficult.

If you dont like the way I play my games, you dont have to watch my videos now do you.

excellent run. i've never been able to get an A on metal harbor, and its frustrating. but at least now i see how its done. still a great game.

it kills me cause i was never able to make an A on this stage. i had one on EVERY stage (including final stage) except this one.... then eventually my gamecube got screwed up. now ill live the rest of my life a B on this stage *sigh*
