that is normal becuase it's the hard drive spinning and the whistleing sound is it powering down.

Yeah I just got mine and it did that. I brougt it back to the store and they gave me a new one. Before I plugged it into the computer I checked and the new one made the same noise. I think its normal. I hope its normal.
