If the grandmother had custody of this child why was she with Jenifer in the first place?

Because Jennifer now lives with her mother sice she got out of jail. The grandmother works at FoodTown and I believe she starts work around 3:00 PM. Jennifer is suppose to be watching Nevaeh while her mother is at work.

According to the absentee father, the mother was only allowed monitored visits.

If he is correct then Jennifer should not have been living in the home with Nevaeh.

As a matter of fact if DFS learned of this one of them would have to leave at the very  least.

@dotebump Yep....She should not have been watching her..I bet the grandmother is sorry now..This is usually why if a parent is not allowed with their children for whatever reason..The grandparents of the other parent usually get the child....Because of reasons like this..because they trust their psycho children to watch the grandchild they have custody of and don't find any danger in it usually. This Grandmother was despicable leaving her alone with a mom like this..

@figsar Yeah that is another chink in social services...A babysitter would have been better than her own MOTHER! Since her own mother let her..just a 5 year old..wander around ALONE without supervision! They both are despicable. The grandmother AND the mother. That mother is not innocent. It is not like this child was a teen. She was 5...and wandering outside alone.Her mom is despicable..still defending that sex offender BF. Her mom is a POS!

Closure is a fucked up premise to some people. When I was working in Alaska last spring we came across a hunter that had disappeared the fall before.

The coroner insisted to the family that they did not want to ID the body, and from seeing the body I concur with the coroner, but the family was insistant on seeing it...for closure.

Her friends are using it as an excuse that she was not attached or bonded to her kid. Saying that is why she let her outside etc.

My opinion is besides the fact that she is ignorant as to what the baby will be like at viewing, she is detached. It does not bother her the way it would bother someone else. I do not understand why she is on every show that will take her at this time, I mean where was she when Nevaeh was missing? Why was she not on NG pleading for her return? Oh, I fogot now it is about her and she is more important than Nevaeh.

What deeply puzzles me, it's the fact that the mother INSISTS to see the remains, however badly decomposed they are. Is this woman completely out of her mind? O_O I've seen such cases similar in my 30 years as a criminologist, but, WITHOUT exception, or the mother (or father) had indeed most severe issues (mental problems, addictions, etc) AND/OR they were somewhat involved in the child's demise AND/OR they REALLY have NO idea of what a putrefied body LOOKS LIKE and SMELLS LIKE!!!
