Can you not see that if euthanasia becomes 'voluntary', this is only one step away from when it is made COMPULSORY. Once we embark upon that slippery slope, where will it all end? Back in 1990 we were lied to - 'embryo research will bring cures for diseases'. It never did. Life begins at conception i.e. when sperm and ovum fuse together to form a new, unique human life. This is a scientific fact. We refer to human embryos as 'human' because that's what they are - human.

The Right Wing Religious Nuts don't want you to die peacefully. They want you to suffer. The day humans abandon these stupid religions the better their life will,Look at suicide bomber, crusaders,Jews for holly land etc. What a waste of human life for religion.

You say it so well and I agree totally.

Thank you so kindly. My heart goes out to you and yours! I lived with my mother through end stage liver disease and dyalisis. That was hard enough. 2 parents same age and alzhiemers? well I just cant say enough to how I respect you if you are helping care for them! It is rather nice they lived so long eh? and sounds like they had a true love affair. Maybe easier for them to underdstand each other also. Only my meager words looking for a silver lining. Best of luck.

I agree completely! Suffering is just that .SUFFERING! IT'S kinda wierd when you realize the moral issue should be driven in the other/opposite direction! SHOULDN'T IT?! When any life has deteriorated to unbearable suffering and/or living conditions, and the person wants to die = I Believe it IS MOST HONORABLE TO choose to END THE SUFFERING. How hard is that to understand?!

No one understands, until their loved ones are in the same situation. It's about being compassionate. You make decisions to euthanize animals when they are suffering.... But it's a moral issue when it's humans. That I don't understand.

Do you mean "moribund?" What actually are you saying here?
Opinions, opinions, opinions. How about experience? All these "DO-GOODERS" who shovel out their judgments on other people's lives will have to face death one day and when they do, they will face it with fear for they know not love.
When I took my son, Nicholas John, to Dr. Kevorkian and assisted with his death, it was an act of love and my son faced his destiny without fear in his heart. He left with gratitude and love of eternal truth.

The RIGHT to die, is a fundamental right that the courts try to avoid, they don't like the idea of suicide, but there is a difference between a suicide that is done mainly out of emotions and feelings of depression, and dying the way one wants when they are faced with a terminal condition.
