This is my 2nd (of 3) HOW TO guide for making your very own custom GUITAR HERO 2 game for the PS2.

The programs you will be needing for this TUTORIAL are:

GHEX (GUITAR HERO EXPLORER)
CD/DVD-ROM GENERATOR (iml generator)
ISO GENERATOR (GNIE)
Winrar or Winace
A BURNING PROGRAM SUCH AS NERO OR ALCOHAL 120%
(links for the first 4 are below)

You will be needing blank DVD-R DISCS. NOT DVD-RW/+RW!!!!!!!! THEY WILL NOT WORK!!!!!
Sony is recommended since they are the best ones. Dont be cheap when it comes to these, only about $13 for a 30 pack at wal-mart.

You will need to get the note charts for the songs you want to play. Visit SCOREHERO.COM or THEGUITARHEROS.COM for those. You must sign-up for these sites, completely free though.

You will need the songs for those note charts. Acquire how you see fit...

To play your disc, you need a PS2 (fat or slim) with a mod chip, or a swap magic with a slide tool. just search youtube to find out how to use these.

FAQS--------------------------------------

1. Q- Hey, i've watched your first video so far, on how to put the custom songs on guitar hero 2. And i was able to follow all of it until it said to find the custom note charts to add. I can't find where you get them at all. I've tried guitarhero.com, and it just takes me to buy the song off of itunes. And scorehero.com is even less help. Can you tell me where you find them or how to get them?

1. A-i went to scorehero.com and theguiterheroes.com.

on score hero you will find the most charts. at the top go to register (free), and do that, after registering go to custom songs (on top toolbar of page), then browse database. this is where you can search for them.

for theguitarheroes you need to also register if you want to browse there personal charts, if not you can get just the user submitted ones. on there at the top go to downloads, then Guitar Hero Custom Song Charts or Custom Song Charts Exclusive To Us (need to reg for this one), then find a song, right click it, go to save as, then save. if you just click on it then it will pull up some random page, so you must right-click.

ok i've done everything in the vid but when i go to play gh2 the song i changed is'nt the 1 i'm playing. like after i've done all this do i have to save this to the game somehow? idk what i have to do, please get back at me on this man. thanks.

after you've change the charts and the songs in the files you burn it to a disc . then whatever changes you made to the game would be on the burnt disc.

so you basicly get the songs and change it to your own song but what if it runs out and do you have to mod your ps2 for it

yes, u are just subbing ur own songs in place of the ones that are on the game, i have made some vids of my custom songs.

u dont HAVE to mod ur ps2. i didnt. i just bought a swap magic 3 for $30 with shipping.

problem number 1 sons are there when i go to selcet them without origonal name changed song is changed but when i go to play it first problem its loading and freezes 2nd problem it goes to a black screen on another custo song wtf?

yo i have vista and i can't get my ghex to playback and i know that i have to change just in time debug or something to true and i can't find that and if u can help me please i need help
