Great recordings! Are they all on preserved railways? (A number of the clips sound like NB 47s on short loads).

and your quite right, most of them were on short loads,

How come 802 has oval buffers and not oleo?

I have no Idea about the oval buffers, I only noticed this once before and that was on 47 818, will find out and let ya know

The first few clips, presuming theyre recent, would have to be 847 - nothing else roars like that.

Thanks for your comment, imho there is nothing to beat the roar of a class 47 Sulzer
however, the clips used are old-ish and the first clips are 47289 and 47150 my regards ---Merlin
