  • Great recordings! Are they all on preserved railways? (A number of the clips sound like NB 47s on short loads).

  • Hi tonyrobts

The sound recordings are not my work, I got them from BRDW- BR Diesel Web

and your quite right, most of them were on short loads,

Thank's for your comment, my regards MERLIN

  • How come 802 has oval buffers and not oleo?

  • Hi waldenhouse

I have no Idea about the oval buffers, I only noticed this once before and that was on 47 818, will find out and let ya know

  • The first few clips, presuming theyre recent, would have to be 847 - nothing else roars like that.

  • Hi sulzerpower47

Thanks for your comment, imho there is nothing to beat the roar of a class 47 Sulzer

however, the clips used are old-ish and the first clips are 47289 and 47150 my regards ---Merlin

  • From the early 90's oval buffers where fitted to selective locos to reduce the risk of buffer locking
