Prime Minister Tony Blair took office 10 years ago, and as leader of Britain's Labour Party fashioned a political marriage with America's top Democrat, U.S. President Bill Clinton. But when a less ideologically compatible Republican assumed the American presidency in 2001, Mr. Blair did not spurn his special relationship with the White House. He found common ground on a number of issues, notably Iraq, with the more conservative George W. Bush. From London, Mandy Clark looks back at Tony Blair's decade in office.

This report has absolutely no substance and is a complete joke. My sister never reads the paper and could do better. Blair didn't achieve much except create a huge amount of legislature, 'spin', drag us into a war we can't get out of and turn the UK into what is virtually 1984. He failed to resolve the middle east crissis or get anything out of the America like consensus on climate change even though we went to war to preserve the relationship. He did well with Ireland though.

No Prime Minister will ever be popular with his people at the time he is leader. Tony Blair did a difficult job better than anyone else could have done and deserves more respect for the way in whih he led his country with integrity and confidence.

No he didn't. He did what he needed to do. He'll be remembered well. The narrator of this piece is terrible by the way.
