Here's Morgana singing a medley of "I Love Paris" / "Meditation" on The Hollywood Palace variety show in November 1966. The show was hosted by Dale Robertson.

  • @emomarcelor Morgana's version of 'Lazy Afternoon' was my entry-point into her voice over 30 years ago.....mind-bogglingly exquisite....Also adore the version of 'I Love Paris' she does on the same album. It's even better than the already-uploaded Hollywood Bowl version. Would kill to have it uploded....Anybody have either of them?

  • Cello, viola, 1rst violin....Morgana's voice is all 3!!!!!

  • I have been blessed to have met Morgana and call her a Friend. She is doing well. Please keep on sending her lots of Love and Prayers. Om Shanti

  • Mama Corleone.....

  • Very good news. It's too bad that King is remembered most as Mama Corleone, because she was also a terrific singer:) -

  • This is really outstanding....She was always an amazing singer...This little gem will be going into my top five youtube...

  • I first heard Morgana King in tribute album forBillie Holiday in 1971. She sang, Easy Living. The album had Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington and Carmen McRae. I next heard her in the album with arrangements by Torrie Zitto. Her song, "Lazy Afternoon," was truly an audio visual delight. As she sang it, pictures and feelings of the lazy afternoon came to me. High angelic voice.

    Thanks to the compiler.

  • Are you freakin' kidding me??? You actually know this fantastic woman? I grew up listening to MK in the late 60's after my mom saw her perform live and bought her album. My life was much richer because of it and she was one of the early inspirations for me to sing when I became a teen. Today I have a few of her albums on disc and her incredible voice resonates in my ear whenever I think of Corcovado. Please thank her, for me, for giving me this incredible gift that I will carry with me forever.

  • Hey,it's Mama Corleone! I'll bet Michael and Sonny wouldn't go for her singing on TV but Fredo would probably have approved.
