Allan Horsfall looks back on how the Labour party was not always as supportive of gay rights as it has been in the past few years. He tells of his experience as a militant of the first hour and of how he came to found the North-West Homosexual Law Reform Committee in 1964.

Recorded at the TUC in London on 20th November 2006 for the pre-launch of LGBT History Month 2007
