this is a live version from one of their concerts, or a complete studio recording with "live effects" added. they couldn't use the original recording because it was over a year old and their voices have changed. but they are lip syncing.

Definitely lip-syncing to a live recording...

Good point from someone that knows the industry. Thanks.

You're probably right. There was a time where the Musicians Union insisted on a pre-recording (to prove that who you saw was who you heard). This became untenable in the 80's when artists played "live" with a Revox on stage!

These were Live TV specials The Osmonds did for a week in 1974 - instead of touring - as secruity for them and their fans had got ridiculous . Filmed at the Shepherds Bush TV Studios.

I am a little confused about who wrote what songs. On the records it says A,W&M Osmond for all the songs that they wrote, on the Jonathan Ross Show when they all appeared he asked who wrote "Crazy Horses" and the brothers said it was Wayne, and in another interview Jimmy said Wayne wrote 90% of their songs, yet he doesn't just have his name on the records, so who was the main writer or was it equal between the 3 brothers.? anyone know.

Not only do they miss it but they miss it by a mile, unusual for the "one take" Osmonds. The only explanation I can think is that it was a prerecorded live performance, if there is such a thing.

I am confused. This sounds like a live performance but it appears that the song is recorded and that the brothers miss their cue at the beginning. This is definitely not the studeo version. Can anyone explain?
