@funkeymichaelmc Shank is a noun, not a verb. There is no action "to shank." You are stabbed with "a shank." Shank is a prison term describing an object such as a knife made of whatever materials are available.

Weapons are a question of use. A spanner as a weapon is criminal. A gun can indeed be a tool, for instance a car is a form of tame cannon used for propulsion.
The morality of blood sports is dicey. Killing animals for sport is hard to justify in moral terms. Use your bare hands & I'll call you a real sport LOL.
Arguments for owning guns: sport (clay pigeons). Policing. Hunting for food. Pest/population control.
Register to own one, like a controlled substance, pass exams, legal responsibility

Could you explain how "weapons" are criminal? The use of weapons to defend yourself or others and to provide food for yourself or others(in a civilian context) or to fight for your nation (in a military context) is not criminal by any means. Violence is an unavoidable reality and not always a choice, same goes for the use of weapons in violence. Weapons can be used without violence too. Is it criminal for me to go shooting and fishing in the everglades on weekends?
