During the summer of sixteen, I traveled to Chicago for the first time and met the most amazing family I have ever met: the Leonards. The story of our paths crossing still astounds me today, but I think my life would be very different today if things hadn't panned out as they did those years ago. The afternoon spent wi...th them was truly life changing, particularly this conversation with Mike, and they all continue to inspire me in more ways than one. They have shown me that the power of human connection, kindness, and compassion is immeasurable, and man, do they make me laugh.
Thanksgiving is all about being grateful and recognizing life's great gifts (beyond Lois Turner mashed potatoes and Gamma's pecan pie) and the Leonards are one of those great gifts and blessings in my life.
What are you thankful for?

Do it. You can learn a lot from him.
